Become a successful cosmetologist
So, you are a cosmetologist, you enjoy your work, and people come to you. How can you make them stay with you, how can you turn them into regular clients?
- Do not deceive your client.
- Learn at every possible opportunity.
- Admitting that you don’t know something is not shameful — lying that you know everything is.
- Aim to improve the client’s skin condition and appearance, not to earn as much money from them as possible.
- Do not invent your own treatment protocols.
- Saving on cosmetics leads to losing clients (and income).
- Be sincere when expressing your goodwill.
- Learn to listen to your intuition.
- Some flirtatious clients like to ask the cosmetologist: “How old do you think I am?” My principle and my advice — do not answer this question.
- Don’t intrude into someone’s personal space, don’t impose your conversation.
- Don’t stay silent — be sure to support the conversation if the client wants to talk.
- Do not accept more than one person at the same time. All your attention must fully belong to the client.
- Do not keep people waiting.
- Do not address your client with an overly familiar “you.”
