Modern hardware-based cosmetology is largely based on the use of electrical currents and various types of ultrasound. At the same time, electrical current has long been successfully used with impressive results in the important task of preserving youth and beauty.
A hygienic facial cleansing is not a strict template but rather a broad field for the cosmetologist’s creativity, allowing the procedure to be tailored to the client’s skin needs and to lay a solid foundation for subsequent cosmetic programs.
Galvanic cleansing, or desincrustation, is performed using direct current devices. Essentially, it is iontophoresis of saponifying substances aimed at loosening comedones. Desincrustation can completely replace or complement mechanical cleansing.
Depending on the method of application and dosage, galvanization can increase or decrease tissue functions, exert an analgesic effect, improve peripheral circulation, promote the restoration of damaged tissues and nerves, and stimulate the regulatory function of the nervous system.
Established, time-tested physiotherapy methods based on galvanic current are now experiencing something of a “reincarnation.” They have not changed at all – they have simply returned in the form of new devices with various attachments and acquired new, more appealing names.
